A very socially responsible cosmetic brand that has a multitude of options to choose from. The truly nourishing banana shampoo is available in different sizes. The 250 ml bottle costs about 11$. Enriched with real banana puree from Ecuador, this cleansing shampoo is irresistible , super sustainable and pretty affordable!

In conclusion, I would give a rating of 2.5 planets to this product. One of the best things about this company is how transparent they are with regard to all their products. Every little detail is available on their website, and very clearly explained. They are extremely passionate about running a very sustainable business in addition to being empathetic to a lot of local communities and ensuring fair trade and opportunity. A very good example of businesses working towards a cause rather than just being focused on making profits.
Also, a very wide, interesting and affordable range of products to choose from, I would totally recommend!

Ingredients –
The key ingredient used in this shampoo is organically sourced banana puree. In addition to this, it also has a couple of other basic ingredients that most other shampoos do.
Banana is a natural conditioning agent and works wonders for dry and damaged hair. It is also paraben and silicone free (chemical free)  which will ensure your hair isn’t stripped off dry.

how it's made:

The Body Shop’s truly nourishing banana shampoo is made from banana puree that is organically produced and sourced from expert farmers at El Guabo, who are based in south-west Ecuador.

So, when you treat your locks to their Banana Hair care range, you’re also helping to give power to the people who produce this nourishing ingredient. The trade helps support local producers living in a rural area of Ecuador with limited work opportunities. This is enabling small-holder farmers to compete against big banana plantations. The Body Shop also strives to minimize waste by using the bananas that wouldn’t sell to the food industry because they are the wrong shape and size.
